SPACE MAKER תערוכתו של Petr Písařík במוזיאון רודולפינום. מעניינת בזכות האמנות המוצגת בה וכהזדמנות להרהר במהות המונח, החמקמק, של מקומי בעידן בו דימויים ומידע עוברים מיד היווצרותם ממקום למקום. Petr Písařík, שהחל את קרירה ב תחילת שנות ה 90, כמעט לא הציג מחוץ צ’כיה, ועיקר תערוכותיו היו בפראג . הוא יוצר במגוון חומרים מסיבית ועד ברונזה דרך טקסטיל

ופולימריים ועוסק בציור שנע על הציר בין אבסטרקט לפיגורטיבי ומתהדר בדקורטיביות מודגשת. אפשר לחשוב על האקלקטיות שלו בהקשר לעיר פראג. העיר אימצה השפעות ממרכזים אירופאים גדולים דורות על דורות , מגותיקה ועד השפעות הססציון הווינאי . את שם התערוכה אפשר לקרוא “מפנה מקום” או כ”יוצר חלל” עם דגש על היבט העשייה . Makers היא הגדרה חדשה יחסית, מ 2005 לקהילה ההולכת וגדלה של אנשים יוצרים, באמצעים טכנולוגיים ושיתוף דיגיטלי מוצרים

חדשים במה שכבר כונה המהפכה התעשייתית השלישית. תחילה נדמה שיש כאן פטפטת צורנית ריקה. אך עבודה אחרי עבודה מתגלה מה שנדמה תחילה כחוסר קונסיסטנטיות מוחלט כשפה אינדיוסינקרטית שיש בה לא מעט אירוניה (וגם דמיון רב לאמנות ישראלית עכשווית). Písařík יוצר עבודות שמזכירות פופ אמריקאי של ראושנברג, ציור של מורקאמי ופיסול מודרני מוקדם של מקס ארנסט או מירו. הוא יוצר ראש /מסיכה מדשא סינתטי, שנראה כפסל מאיי הפסחא ,מציג אנייה טרופה על גלי מתכת לצד פיסול שנראה כמו קונסטרוקטיביזם רוסי יחד עם חלקי ריהוט שנראה כלקוח מה Belle Époque, מעבר המאה ה 19 וה20 . המשחקיות שבין מונומנטלי לקיטש, משאירות את הצופים

בתהייה עם Písařík מתרפק על עבר, אולי לועג לו. Písařík בנה מערך פואטי, מושחז אך לא וולגרי של התייחסות לשאלות של מסעות בין תרבותיים – מאוניה טרופה, פיסול דמוי “ראשוני” מאיי הפסחא , ומבט מרוחק על אוטופיות המאה הקודמת שהכזיבו. האמן , סוג של Maker, מציע אינטראקציה בין זיכרונות לחומרי
ם, בין הבטחות לחורבות רעיוניות , ומשחקיות שלה רצינית לחלוטין .

SPACE MAKER / Petr Pisařik at the Rudolfinum Prague
Petr Písařík’s exhibition, SPACE MAKER is interesting both as a body of work and as an opportunity to contemplate the elusive concept of “local” in our contemporary era of migration of images and information. At first it seems that the exhibition is a disrupted narrative, but work after work reveals itself as idiosyncratic language with quite a bit of irony (and some surprising affinity to contemporary Israeli art). Although Písařík has been exhibiting since the early ‘90s, mostly in Prague, his works have seldom been shown outside of the Czech Republic.
Písařík’s materials range from fibers to bronze through textiles and polymers. He engages in painting shifting between abstraction and figuration, emphasizing the decorativeness and eclecticism of Prague. For generations, the city was impacted by movements from the traditional European art centers, from French Gothic to Viennese Secession. The title of the exhibition can be read as making room or creating space, with the artist as “maker,” a relatively new definition (since 2005) for a constantly increasing community of people creating with technology and digital sharing in “The Third Industrial Revolution.”

Písařík’s works bring to mind Rauschenberg’s American Pop Art, Murakami’s paintings, and the Early Modernism of Max Ernst and Miro. For example, a head/mask from synthetic grass, looking like an Easter Island statue, or a shipwreck on iron waves along with a sculpture looking like Russian Constructivism. In some pieces, he uses furniture that seems to be from la Belle Epoque. The artist’s playfulness between the monumental and kitsch leaves visitors wondering whether he is admiring the past or mocking it. His poetic works are sharp but not vulgar, questioning intercultural issues, from his faux primitive head to his distant view of the utopias that failed. The artist, a type of “maker,” proposes an interaction between memories and materials, promises and failed promises, and an earnest sense of play.
